The Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities program seeks to provide technical assistance up to 50 communities on the use of those tools. As a result of this technical assistance, selected local and/or tribal governments will increase their capacity to successfully implement smart growth and sustainable communities development approaches that protect the environment, improve public health, create jobs, expand economic opportunity, and improve overall quality of life.
