A partnership between Simon Fraser University and The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community will use Metro Vancouver as a living laboratory for sustainable urbanism.

The foundation, created by Britain’s Prince Charles to promote ecologically sound urban design, will collaborate with the university on knowledge sharing projects that can be accessed by SFU’s urban studies graduate students and work with local commercial developers to create cutting-edge communities, said Anthony Perl, director of SFU’s Urban Studies program.
