The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Transportation today announced their intent to award up to $75 million to eligible applicants including local governments. HUD will make available up to $40 million in the form of "community planning challenge grants;" while DOT intends to award up to $35 million in transportation planning grants.
