The city of Atlanta has been selected as one of only eight U.S. cities to participate in a pilot program on sustainable communities. The STAR Communities Index program is being developed by ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, National League of Cities, and Center for American Progress.
