GPISD provides information and policy analysis to the citizens of the Great Plains as they wrestle with issues affecting the long-term viability of their communities, the productivity of their economic enterprises, the quality of their environment, and the prudent management of their resources. It sponsors "Renewing the Countryside," a web site showcasing examples of people working to enhance their rural communities and regions.
