The Siemens Sustainable Community Awards recognize public-private coalitions for taking on the 21st century challenge of sustainable development. Awards go to local governments, chambers of commerce, convention bureaus, economic development authorities, and similar organizations representing the local initiative.

The Awards
The following three awards will be presented at BCLC's National Corporate Community Investment Conference in Houston, TX on May 12-14, 2010.

• Sustainable Community Award for Small Community (<50,000 residents)
• Sustainable Community Award for Midsize Community (50,000–500,000 residents)
• Sustainable Community Award for Large Community (500,000+ residents)

Nominations must be submitted by January 29, 2010.
